The short version

Chamba does not collect anything. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no network code in the app at all. Everything you type stays in Chamba’s own storage on your iPhone, and deleting the app deletes it.

That is not a promise about intent — it is a description of the code. Chamba makes no network requests of any kind.

What Chamba stores, and where

Your tasks, their stages and dependencies, your check-ins, and your settings. All of it is held in a local Core Data store inside the app’s own container on your device.

It is not synced. There is no iCloud sync, no CloudKit, no account, and no backup that I control. If your device is backed up through iCloud or a computer, Chamba’s data is included in that backup under Apple’s terms, not mine — I have no access to it.

What leaves your device

Nothing, unless you decide to write to me. See When you email me, below — it is the only exception, and it only happens because you chose it.

When you email me

Chamba has two buttons in Settings — Report a Bug and Send Feedback. Both open your own Mail app with a message already addressed to me at david@delafu.dev. Nothing is sent unless you write it and press send yourself.

When you do, I receive what you wrote and the address you sent it from. A bug report also carries one line the app adds for you: your device type and iOS version, like “iPhone, iOS 18.6”. That is the generic type, not the exact model — it identifies your hardware no more precisely than that. Plain feedback carries no device line at all.

Those emails sit in my inbox like any other email. I keep one only while it is still useful for fixing the thing you told me about. Write to me and I will tell you what I have of yours, or delete it.

This is the only case where I hold anything of yours at all.

Backups

Chamba keeps your tasks in its own container on your device. If you have iPhone backups switched on, that container is included in them, exactly as most apps are — whether that is iCloud Backup or an encrypted backup to your own computer. That happens under Apple’s terms, not mine: I have no access to those backups and no way to read them.

If you would rather Chamba’s data were not backed up at all, you can exclude it in iOS Settings, under iCloud Backup.

What Chamba does not do

• No analytics or crash-reporting SDK of any kind.
• No advertising, and no advertising identifier.
• No tracking, in the App Store sense or any other. Chamba’s privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking: false with no collected data types.
• No selling, renting or sharing of anything, because there is nothing held to sell.

Notifications

Chamba can send you local notifications — a morning check-in nudge, and a reminder if you snooze something that needed attention. These are scheduled by the app on your device. There is no push server.

Purchases

Chamba offers a subscription and a lifetime purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple. I never see your card details, your name, or your address; I receive only anonymous, aggregated sales reports from Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Your rights

In Mexico, under the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, you may access, rectify, cancel or oppose the processing of your personal data (ARCO rights) and withdraw consent at any time.

In the European Union and the United Kingdom, under the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

In Japan, under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), you may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion.

In Chamba’s case there is nothing for me to act on, because I hold nothing at all. Your data is on your device and entirely under your control: edit or delete any of it in the app, and deleting the app removes all of it.

International transfers

None. Chamba transmits nothing, so nothing crosses any border. Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

How long anything is kept

Your tasks: for as long as you keep them, and no longer — I hold no copy. Removing the app removes everything.

An email you sent me: only while it is still useful for fixing what you reported, and then it goes.

Children

Chamba is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears at this address and the date at the bottom of the page changes with it. Because the app holds no contact details, I have no way to notify you directly — checking this page is the only mechanism, which is itself a consequence of collecting nothing.
